Many have wondered how to resize Banners found on Club Penguin Banners site This is how you do :)
Here is the large Auto-Updating Event Banner but it might be too wide for your Website or Blog…
…Here I made it smaller by changing the width to 200 :)
In the original HTML code you will find two places that gives the width and the height and that are highlighted in blue below:
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="269" height="293"> <param name="movie" value="http://media2.clubpenguin.com/community/flash/widget.swf"><param name="quality" value="high"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><embed src="http://media2.clubpenguin.com/community/flash/widget.swf" wmode="transparent" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="269" height="293"></embed></object>
You need to change both these places to the width and/or height you want to use… I only specified the width here to 200 and removed height="293" so the height gets automatically calculated…
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="200"> <param name="movie" value="http://media2.clubpenguin.com/community/flash/widget.swf"><param name="quality" value="high"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><embed src="http://media2.clubpenguin.com/community/flash/widget.swf" wmode="transparent" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200"></embed></object>
Same thing with the small Auto-Updating Even Banner that might be too wide for your sidebar!
…Here it is changed the width to 200 :)
This is the original HTML code:
<a href="http://www.clubpenguin.com/"><img src="http://community.clubpenguin.com/banners/images/partybanner.gif" alt="Club Penguin - Waddle around and meet new friends!" border="0" /></a>
There is no height or width in this code so you need to add it like I did here… See the added code for the width 200 that is in blue:
<a href="http://www.clubpenguin.com/"><img src="http://community.clubpenguin.com/banners/images/partybanner.gif" alt="Club Penguin - Waddle around and meet new friends!" border="0" width="200" /></a>
Now your Party Banner will fit better on your Blog :)
