So this is what happens when you miss 2 chip shot field goals and fall out of the gauranteed BCS slot? Wow, talk about a huge fall. At least they get to go to Las Vegas in late December. That has got to be an upside for all those people stuck up in Boise.

Friday Night Football Cheerleader Preview -- #4 Boise State v. Idaho

Friday nights are traditionally saved for high school football, which is actually appropriate tonight considering Boise State's strength of schedule. Sorry, it's a weak joke, but it had to be made. I just have a tough time taking Boise State seriously when they play in this horrid conference. Regardless, there are cheerleaders involved, so you know I'm interested.

Game of the Day: #3 Boise State v. #10 Virginia Tech

Easily the best game of the (extended) weekend, it also just happens to be the biggest game of Boise State's season. If they win, they should be undeafeted at the end of the year and make their claim for the National Championship Game. I'm still rooting for Virginia Tech, though, because I don't want to have to listen to ANOTHER season of Boise State fans bitching and complaining.

The way things are imploding right now, maybe these cheerleaders could have been cheering in a bigger conference in 2011.

Looks like Boise State is no longer the media darling, BCS buster with the most clout anymore (that title has been passed to TCU for now). But their cheerleaders are still worth looking at. And isn't that what is really important anyway?

Fiesta Bowl -- TCU v. Boise State

Welcome to the We Got Screwed Bowl. There is no reason these teams should be playing each other. As much as Boise State annoys me with all their whining, I think they should at least have a chance to play one of the "big boys." I'm not much on conspiracy theories, but it just seems strange that the 2 BCS teams from the smaller conferences have to play each other. Do you think there was an agreement between the bowls? I doubt it, but it makes for a good story anyway.
