World's Biggest Dog -"Hercules".
Hercules was once the largest dog in the world. Now his name has become associated with a digital hoax, an Internet urban legend. A number of digitally editted photos have been ciculating on the net with pictures of "Hercules, the World's Biggest Dog". In the photos, the dog is GIANT. But there is enough info out there about the real deal Hercules to fuel the legend and keep the links and emails circulating.
And the According to the guinness Book of World records it is also a big dog.
Hercules was recently awarded the honorable distinction of Worlds Biggest Dog by Guinness World Records. Hercules is an English Mastiff and who has a 38 inch neck and weighs 282 pounds.
With "paws the size of softballs" (reports the Boston Herald), the three-year-old monster is far larger and heavier than his breed's standard 200lb. limit. Hercules owner Mr. Flynn says that Hercules weight is natural and not induced by a bizarre diet: "I fed him normal food and he just
"grew"... and grew. and grew. and grew.
Kell: Slightly Smaller, But the World's Heaviest Dog Hercules' sheer volume may have won him the Largest Dog world record, but the Heaviest Dog title still rests with Kell who weighed in at 286 pounds in August of 1999.
This English Mastiff, however, only has a 32-inch neck - far less than Hercules' 38-incher. Think about that for a second though - 32 inches is a standard waist size for a man!
Proud owner Tom Scott said Kell is two years old and is expected to continue to grow for the next two years. Kell needs to be fed 100lb of beef every week, and drinks gallons of goats' milk to sta

World's Biggest Cat ever seen
World's biggest and as well as largest cat ever seen. This is the newest record has made by this cat.
World's Biggest PIG ever seen...!
The Liaoning Provincial Agricultural Museum is appealing to the Guinness Book of Records to recognise a 900 kg (1984 pounds) pig which died on February 5 as the biggest pig ever. When the pig died it was 2.5 metres long, had a waistline of 2.23 metres and a tusk of 14.4 centimetres long.
According to XU Changjin, a farmer of Wafangdian city, the pig was only 5 years old. He kept his pig in a good built sty and gave it quality food all its life.
World's Largest PIG - ever Seen...!
11 year old Alabama boy, Jamison Stone, shot and killed this 1,060 pound, 9ft 4in wild hog with a .50 caliber hand gun. Crazy huge and impressive, yet sad that such an amazing animal had to die… Well at least it’ll go to good use as 500-700 pounds of sausage.
But don't kill Animals.Protect Nature.
World's Biggest and Largest Dogs ever seen
Dog lover if you was really a dog lover, you will shock after see this weird and bizarre picture of the world's biggest dog ever, i don't know whether this is a photo shopped image or is it really original image?? check it out the world biggest dog ever..
Do not plan to crate a large dog. It's not a good idea to ever, ever crate/kennel a large dog. If you will be away from home for several hours at a time and need to confine your big dog, then it is fine to gate him off in a family room or kitchen. Crating a large dog will prevent him from getting up and walking around during the day
World's Tallest Dog -- "GIBSON".
Who is the Tallest Dog?
Certified by the Guiness Book of World Records, the tallest dog living is Gibson, a Harlequin Great Dane (see more on Great Danes here), who measured 107 cm (42.2 in) tall on August 31 2004 and is owned by Sandy Hall of Grass Valley, California, USA. When he stands on his hind legs, the 170-pound Dane is more than 7 feet tall, taller than most NBA basketball players. The image to the left shows Gibson standing with his Veterinarian - one of many pictures he takes standing over his subject.
As big as he is, Gibson is just a friendly puppy in a big dogs body, and is active in therapy work, a close knit family life (which includes hording toys from his sisters), and his new found celebrity schedule. Gibson has been featured in several national newspapers and magazines, he's been featured on Larry King Live and has also worked with some of the players from the Sacramento Kings.
What kind of bed do you have for him?
"GIBSON" has a 10 piece sectional retrofitted with mattress and soft cushions, that he shares with his family. At night, "GIBSON" doesn't sleep with me on my bed, he sleeps ON me! He has to be touching Mommie. He is VERY MUCH a Mommie's Boy!
What is the funniest thing to have happened to you and "GIBSON?"
Everyday/All Day..."GIBSON" is a crack-up. He makes me smile all the time. It's hard to pick any one thing. It was kind'a funny when he went over to a lady in a wheelchair and sat in her lap, without her brakes being on. She went flying backwards and was only stopped by the wall! (Nobody was hurt and the same lady still wants "Gibson" to sit in her lap when he does Therapy Dog Visits.)
The Irish Wolfhound was resurrected from near extinction as a dog breed in the 1800’s when they were used to hunt wolves. Today they make excellent companion dogs. Like a lot of larger breeds they are known for their good nature. As a breed they are good with children, and known to be calm, sweet, and loving. Due to its large size and fast growth the Irish Wolfhound tends to be clumsy as a puppy but grows into its large size well.
Now, while Gibson may be the world’s tallest dog, he’s not the world’s biggest dog. The title of biggest dog currently goes to Hercules, an English. Unlike Gibson, English Mastiffs usually win the title of World’s biggest dog, as they tend to weigh more than 200 pounds. Hercules weighs about 282 pounds, and is said to have paws the size of softballs. While his parents aren’t breeders they are very proud of their “gentle giant,” who is said to be a very loving dog.
English Mastiffs were originally used as military dogs in Great Britain. Today, due to their protective and loving nature, they are prized as family guard dogs. English Mastiffs are very gently and loving with their family and, like most large breeds, excellent with children, they are also very possessive of their family. Due to this tendency it is often recommended that these big fellows be socialized early, as they may be aggressive towards other animals.
Large dog breeds, which include the Great Dane, Newfoundland, and Saint Bernard as well as the Mastiff and Irish Wolfhound breeds, are often known for their loyalty and great demeanor with children. These large dogs can make great family pets, provided you have ample space indoors and out for them to stretch and run. The large dog breeds also are known to have issues with hip and elbow dysplasia as well as heart problems, and can require a lot of veterinary care.
World's Biggest Snake in Indonesia
A python found in Indonesia is 14.85m (49ft) long and has a maximum body circumference of 85cm (almost three feet) and weighs 447kg (70 stone, 3lbs).It was captured by a 58-year-old python expert from east Java who was summoned to Jambi after locals, who stumbled upon it while foraging for wood, were too afraid to approach it.
The expert reportedly needed 65 helpers to snare the python and the blessing of tribal leaders as pythons are regarded as deities by many locals.
The python is proving to be a major attraction for the zoo, as about 700 people visit the Curugsewu zoo every day to admire the new but rather lazy star.
