Insight Bowl Cheerleader Preview -- Missouri v. Iowa
Of course, this is the game I've been waiting all bowl season for. My Mizzou Tigers get a chance to finish off a surprisingly strong season by whipping up on a depleted Iowa team that just can't keep it's nose clean (pun absolutely intended!). I'm a little annoyed that, at 10-2, we have to play a 7-5 team that finished tied for 4th in the Big Ten, but we'll take what we can get I guess. I'm expecting an absolute thrashing tonight. I just hope I can stay awake for the whole thing!

Week 9 Winners -- Iowa
Weekly Winners is our weekly highlights of college football teams that pulled off upsets during the previous weekend. As usual, we will celebrate these upsets with cheerleaders. And maybe a little snarky commentary.
Told you this was the game of the day. Of course, it wasn't for the reason I posted. How about the Hawkeyes coming out and completely prison raping Sparty? That was about as dominating a performance as I've ever seen against a Top 5 opponent. Just think how good Iowa would be this year with Brandon Wegher. Scary.

Game of the Day -- #5 Michigan State v. #18 Iowa
While the Missouri/Nebraska game might feaure higher ranked teams (on average), that game only determines the winner of the Big 12 North. This game could determine the winner of the Big 10 and the automatic BCS bid if Michigan State can pull of the win in Iowa. Because it's unlikely Minnesota, Purdue or Penn State will be much of a challenge for Sparty.
That being said, I'm taking the Hawkeyes at home in this one. I'm just not convinced Michigan State is the 5th best team in the country. And an 8-point win at Northwestern last week doesn't instill much confidence.

Game of the Day: #9 Iowa v. #24 Arizona
This really isn't a very exciting game, but it's the only game today that features 2 ranked teams. I thought about the Baylor v. TCU game, but I don't think Baylor really poses that much of a threat. So we're stuck with the Iowa Hawkeyes heading down to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats. I'm not sure this will be much of a game either because I think Arizona is very overrated. But they have a Stoops as their head coach, and that always means something to the voters. My only prediction: Nick Foles gets REALLY tired of Adrian Clayborn introducing himself in a fairly violent manner.

University of Iowa Cheerleaders Enjoy the Summertime
OK, so I recognize that these pictures aren't from this summer (I'm sure someone's going to call me an idiot in the comments anyway), but there are some beach/bikini pics so it's close enough for me. All you really need to know is that these Hawkeye cheerleaders are cute and like to have a good time. Plus, I snuck a Halloween picture in there for good measure. Enjoy.
Iowa Cheerleaders Celebrate New Coach
The Hawkeyes went all the way to New York to find their new coach, Fran McCaffery. I don't know a whole lot about the guy, but based on what I've read it sounds like a really good choice. Of course, I'll believe his statement about up-tempo style in the Big 10 when I see it. Talk about boring basketball.

Orange Bowl -- Iowa v. Georgia Tech
Easily the least exciting BCS game of them all (of course, the Sugar Bowl wasn't all that exciting). I do like to watch Tech's triple-option offense, though. Jonathon Dwyer is a baller and could run roughshod over the Iowa D if the Hawkeyes aren't careful.
But Iowa's D is pretty darn stout and could completely shut down the option. Of course, they still have to score points. The return of injured QB Ricky Stanzi should help the stagnant O. We'll see. But I'll see it on the highlights because I have no interest in watching.
