You will need
3 or more players
3 or more different colors of balloons (why not use your favorite penguin colors?)
A parent or guardian to referee
A whistle
A ball of string
How to Play
- With the help of a parent or guardian, blow up as many balloons as you can. You will need 1 balloon per player for each game you play.
- Each player takes a length of string and ties one end to their balloon. Then the players secure the other end to the ankle.
Note: There should be at least 1 foot (30 cm) of string between the balloon and each player’s ankle. - Once all players have their balloons ready, the referee blows the whistle to start the game.
- The players have to chase each other and pop their opponent’s balloons by stepping on them. The player with the last remaining balloon wins!
Tip
Try drawing on the balloons before blowing them up and see what happens!
You will need
2 or more players
A different colored flying disc for each player
A park with trees
A parent or guardian to keep score
How to Play
The object of the game is to throw the flying disc and hit a target in as few throws as possible.
- Find a field with lots of space and a few trees to us as targets.
Note: A target is only considered ‘hit’ if the disc comes in contact with the portion of the trunk below the first branch. - Find a place to begin the game a fair distance away from the first target.
- All players need to take their first throw toward the target from the same location.
- In the same order that the discs were originally thrown, each player will make a second attempt at hitting the target from where their disc landed.
- The player who successfully hits the target in the least amount of throws wins!
You Will Need
A parent or guardian
A large sheet of cardboard
Scissors
Markers
3 tennis balls or puffles.
The object of the game is to throw a ball or puffle through different sized holes in a game board for maximum points!
Instructions
- Cut 3 holes in the sheet of cardboard. One hole twice as big as the tennis balls or puffles you are using, one that is three times as big, and one that is four times as big.
- Use markers to write ‘20 points’ above the small hole, ‘10 points’ above the medium hole, and ‘5 points’ above the large hole.
- Decorate the game board by drawing your favorite Fair decorations wherever they fit. Remember, bright colors are a must!
How to Play
Take your game board outside along with the tennis balls or puffles and lean it against a sturdy surface (tree, shed, wall).
Back up 6 steps from the game board, then try throwing the tennis balls or puffles through the holes to score as many as possible!
