Wingsuits (jumpsuits) or wingsuit flying is a form of skydiving or base jumping where the skydiver wears a special "wing suit" that has panels of fabric sown behind the arms and between the legs. This configuration creates an increase in surface area that creates a small amount of lift, allowing the skydiver to move forward as if flying.
The skydiver can manipulate the wings to control the speed and direction of descent. The more adventurous wingsuit flyers perform intricate maneuvers hugging mountain slopes and flying within feet of certain death.
